On February 27, 2020, in the city of Nur-Sultan, a round table discussion entitled "Actual Issues of Ethnopolitics in Kazakhstan: Expert Opinion" was held, dedicated to the issues of improving approaches to the study and regulation of interethnic relations, improving the efficiency of government bodies and public institutions in this area. Organized by: Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies, "Kogamdyk Kelisim" RSI and the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by the heads of state bodies, public institutions in the field of interethnic relations, leading Kazakhstan's experts.
The Chairman of the Scientific and Expert Council, the head of the Center for Interethnic and Interconfessional Studies in Central Asian Region at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aigul Sadvokassova, presented the results of the work of a special research group that went to the Kordaysky district of the Zhambyl region and prepared a report based on the results. The research team included staff members of the Institute.

On February 7, 2020, Botagoz Rakisheva took part in a round table discussion on the content of the National Report "Families of Kazakhstan-2020" organized by "Kazakhstan Institute for Social Development "Rukhani Zhangyru". The roundtable participants exchanged expert opinions and discussed current issues.

On February 6, 2020, at the office of the Public Opinion Research Institute, a meeting was held with the Head of the Representative Office of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation in Central Asia Marlies Linke, Project Manager of the FRL Representative Office in Almaty Leyla Muzaparova and Project Manager of the RLF Representative Office in Almaty Daniyar Kusainov. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation between the two organizations.

On January 30, 2020, the director of the Public Opinion Research Institute Botagoz Rakisheva took part in the expert discussion "Formation of the Active Longevity Roadmap for 2020-2022: Principles, Methods, and Approaches". The event was held by the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KazISS) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by representatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) – the Head of the Population affairs Vitalija Gaucaite Wittich, Consultant Olga Kharitonova, the Fellow Worker Lisa Wart, Advisor to the Director of KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Madina Nurgaliyeva, Rector of the International Academy of Economics and Finance Lyazzat Nurkatova, the Head of "Ulagat Consulting Group" LLP Marat Kairlenov, the Chief Researcher at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science Yuri Buluktaev, the Chief Expert of the Project Management Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MLSPP of the RK) Asiya Akanova and other experts.
