 On September 21-24, 2023, the Regional Conference of the European Society for Central Asian Studies (ESCAS) “Power, people and cultural change in an ever-evolving Central Asia” was held in Almaty (Kazakhstan). Co-organizers: KIMEP, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh-German University.

On September 21, 2023, Pre-conference workshops were held at KIMEP.

September 24, 2023 - Public Opinion Research Institute held the Round table “WVS / WAPOR: Transformation of the values of Central Asian societies in the 21st century” as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Institute.

National representatives and members of international WVS teams, National representatives and members of WAPOR, researchers in the field of studying values, identity, and social processes took part in the round table.

The round table was organized with the support of the World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) and the Secretariat of the World Values Survey Association.
