On May 21, 2015 in Astana, within the framework of the VIII Astana Economic Forum, the Eurasian Development Bank Centre for Integration Studies, together with the Public Opinion Research Institute and the Eurasian Economic Commission, organized a panel session «The Social Dimension of Eurasian Integration».

The purpose of the panel session is a comprehensive discussion of various aspects of perception and understanding of regional integration processes. Discussion during the session focused on the following topics:

- Problems of public perception of the processes of integration and cooperation of the EAEU states and the CIS region in the economic, political and socio-cultural spheres;
- Public opinion as an indicator and engine of integration processes;
- Informational positioning of Eurasian integration;
- State policy of the countries of the CIS region in the field of «social integration»;
- Labor migration and social guarantees in the EAEU, including the social responsibility of business;
- Sustainable development of the EAEU countries in the context of human capital, social welfare and the continental potential of Eurasian integration.

The session was moderated by Evgeny Vinokurov, Director of the Eurasian Development Bank Centre for Integration Studies and Botagoz Rakisheva, Director of the Public Opinion Research Institute.

The session was attended by leading scientists and experts on Eurasian economic integration, representatives of research institutes in Kazakhstan and Russia, academia, government, think tanks, as well as international organizations, Embassies of various countries.
