21 November 2013. On the scientific workshop organized by the Institute, Bryn Rosenfeld, Ph.D Candidate (Princeton University), presented the methodology of social polls used by sociologists at Princeton University during the electoral period.
Sociologists of our Institute also shared their experiences of using the method of sociological research.

20 November 2013. Participation in the international conference "Improving The System Of Provision Of Public Services In The Light Of The Implementation Of The Law "On Public Services", organized by the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan and the UN Development Program in Kazakhstan.
Botagoz Rakisheva, director of the Public Opinion Research Institute presented results of public opinion survey by the level of satisfaction with the quality of public service delivery in 2013 on request of UNDP.

8-10 November 2013. The Friedrich Ebert Foundation, the Public Opinion Research Institute, Institute of Social and Political Studies and the Institute of Peace, Conflict and Mediation of the Kokshe Academy conducted Autumn School "Mediation as an effective tool for managing conflict in the Democratic developing society".
The main purpose of the event: improving professional knowledge and skills of specialists in the field of conflict resolution and mediation. Venue: Borovoe, Akmola region.
Participants: Government officials dealing with interethnic and interfaith relations, heads of ethnic and cultural, youth and other public associations, representatives of the scientific and expert community and mediators.

5-6 November 2013. Participation of the Institute staff in the international workshop "New Geopolitics Of Operations To Ensure Peace: Dialogue With The Emerging Powers. Central Asian Regional Dialogue" organized by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in cooperation with the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute SIPRI.
Security challenges have changed significantly over the past decade. To a certain extent it influenced the form of operations to ensure peace. More and more states participate in peacekeeping missions. At the same time new structures and mechanisms of regional character appear which hypothetically allow carrying out peacekeeping missions by the region itself, without the involvement of the UN global resources.
The two-day international workshop became a platform to discuss the new landscape of peacemaking among scientists, politicians and practitioners in Central Asia, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Sweden. The purpose of this dialogue is to find the factors influencing the peacekeeping operation, as well as analysis of the potential of a possible international cooperation which are necessary to deal with future security challenges in the region.

8 October 2013. Another expert meeting on "Migration Processes in Central Asia: Myth and Reality". Expert - a renowned international scholar, Professor Bhavna Dave, Director of the Centre of Contemporary Central Asia and the Caucasus at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (SOAS), Doctor of Political Science.

5 October 2013. The Public Opinion Research Institute was visited by the well-known international researcher, Doctor of political Science, Professor Bhavna Dave, Director of the Centre of Contemporary Central Asia and the Caucasus at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (SOAS).

29 September 2013. Meeting with the Deputy Director of the Center for Social and Marketing Research the Expert Fikri - Hassan Nazarov. At the meeting issues of mutual cooperation were discussed (Tashkent, Uzbekistan).

28 September 2013. Botagoz Rakisheva, Ainur Mazhitova and Daniyar Kosnazarov participated in the round table of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan where the possibility of cooperation between scientists of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) were discussed.

25 September 2013. Staff of the Institute Botagoz RakishevaAinur Mazhitova and Daniyar Kosnazarov participated in the International Conference "New Approaches To The Study Of The History Of Central Asia: Medieval, Colonial And Soviet Periods", held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
