30 September 2014. Round table on the topic "The Dynamics Of Social Changes In Modern Kazakhstan: 1991-2014", organized by the Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP) at the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (www.iwep.kz).
The meeting discussed topics such as the emergence of new social groups in Kazakhstan society, migration, urbanization, particularly changes in the Kazakhstan village, the problems of repatriates' adaptation, religion in the system of values.

Botagoz Rakisheva, Director of the Public Opinion Research Institute, reported on "The Kazakh Diaspora: Migration Potential And Expectations From Kazakhstan (The Results Of Sociological Expeditions - Mongolia, China, Russia And Uzbekistan)".
Also the Round Table was attended by members of the Institute - Anastasiya Shandryga, Master of Sociology, Head of Field Department and Ainur Mazhitova, Master of Sociology, First Deputy Director.
29 September 2014. Another expert meeting was held jointly with the Scientific Expert Council of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz ethno-cultural association the Kyrgyzstan-Astana and Kazakh-Russian University.
The invited expert is Professor Muratbek Imanaliyev, Kyrgyz state and political figure. For two years, M. Imanaliyev served as Secretary-General of the SCO (January 2010 - December 2012), he was the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the PRC. Now M. Imanaliyev is a Head of the Institute for Public Politics.
3 September 2014. Round table on the topic "Labor conflicts: constructive ways to prevent and resolve" (Taraz).
Ainur Mazhitova, First Deputy Director of the Public Opinion Research Institute, made a report presenting results of complex sociological research aimed at identifying the level of social tensions and the risks of labor conflicts in the enterprises of the region. The study was commissioned by the Department of Internal Politics of Akimat of Zhambyl region.
15-17 July 2014. YevgeniyaRudneva (Deputy Director for Projects of the Institute) participated in the School of Young Experts on Central Asia held in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia).
"School of young experts on Central Asia" - one of the leading projects of A.M. Gorchakov Foundation for Public Diplomacy has been held annually since 2012 in the form of scientific and educational programs for young professionals in the field of international relations, international journalism, the world economy as well as representatives of the scientific community invitees. This year workshop was devoted to topical issues of cooperation between Russia and the Central Asian countries.
The purpose of the program: the creation of a discussion platform for the interaction of young political scientists, scientists on international affairs and journalists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Political, economic, social and other aspects of international relations in the region, as well as general issues of topical international problems were chosen as a subject of the discussion.
During the seminar, the participants attended the lectures of leading Russian experts on Central Asian region and Russia's foreign policy, as well as they participated in "Round Tables" and interactive lessons.
9-10 July 2014. Participation of the Institute staff in the expert workshop "Youth in Central Asia", where Professor Hurrelmann Klaus, one of the most well-known German experts on youth sociology, academic advisor of the Shell Youth Study, gave a speech.

25 June 2014. Botagoz Rakisheva, Director of the Public Opinion Research Institute met with representatives of China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CASMO) - Vice President Feng Zhongping, Head of Department for Central Asian Studies Ding Xiaoxing and Ye Tianle, Junior researcher of the Department for Central Asian Studies.
At the meeting, where the current state of the Kazakhstan-Chinese relations in the field of Education and Science were mainly discussed, the parties agreed on the establishment and strengthening research ties and holding joint conferences in Kazakhstan and China.
6 June 2014. Center for Security Programs and the Public Opinion Research Institute conducted an expert discussion "Trends in Global Terrorism: Central Asian perspective". Keynote speakers: Yerlan Karin – Candidate of Political Science (Kazakhstan); Professor Tatyana Dronzina - Member of the International Association for the Study of Terrorism (Bulgaria); Jacob Zenn - Analyst of The Jamestown Foundation (USA).
29 May 2014. Participation in the IV International Conference, organized by the Institute of Central Asian Studies, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Seoul, South Korea).

22 May 2014. The Public Opinion Research Institute was visited by Igor V. Zadorin, Executive Director of the International Research Agency the Eurasian Monitor.
