On 13 August 2026, the Kazakhstan Institute for Public Development (KIPD) hosted a roundtable discussion titled «Youth, Family and Demographic Development in Kazakhstan». The event was organized as part of the activities of the Consortium of Research Organizations in the Field of Family, Gender and Demographic Policy under the National Commission for Women’s Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The roundtable featured a presentation of the UNFPA Demographic Futures Survey 2026, one of the largest international studies exploring the life plans and aspirations of younger generations. The survey covered more than 108,000 internet users aged 18–39 across 73 countries. The event also featured findings from studies conducted by the Youth Research Center and the Kazakhstan Institute for Public Development. Botagoz Rakisheva, Director of the Institute and Candidate of Sociological Sciences, and Kalamkas Yessimova, Chief Research Fellow of the Institute and Master of Anthropology and Ethnology, took part in the roundtable discussion.
